Lexington, North Carolina - After a stellar 2003 season that shattered tournament attendance records in North Carolina, South Carolina and the entire Mid-Atlantic region, the Carolina Field Owners Association announced today that National Paintball Supply would return as the presenting sponsor for their 2004 season. As the presenting sponsor of the Carolina Field Owners Association tournament series, National Paintball Supply played host to eight CFOA tournament dates spread across North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee that raised the bar for tournament attendance and promotion in the region, and across the United States. Presented by National Paintball Supply, the Carolina Field Owners Association plans to promote eight tournament dates throughout the 2004 tournament season that will continue in the proud tradition of sportsmanlike competition and exponential growth for which the CFOA has become known nationwide.

Created in 1999 by a small group of field and storeowners from the Carolinas, the Carolina Field Owners Association has grown steadily throughout the turn of the millennium to become one of the premier regional paintball tournament series in the world. What started with twelve teams has since grown to set tournament attendance records in the region once reserved for massive national-level events. What in 2002 would have been record attendance at sixty-four (64) five-man teams was in 2003 the smallest league tournament, with the standing attendance record for the Association, the state and the region now standing at ninety-one (91) rookie, novice and amateur five-man teams in attendance at one CFOA event date. Teams compete for individual tournament prizes graciously provided by league sponsors, cash prizes for the amateur teams and series seed points culminating in two entry fees for the World Cup and two skids of paintballs awarded to the champion novice and amateur teams, in addition to a cash prize for the amateur champions. "In the 2004 CFOA season, it's my goal to carry the momentum that the league has built during the 2003 season and continue to build and expand the best series in the country," stated CFOA promoter Larry Motes after the contract with National Paintball Supply was signed.
