NPS TECH CONFERENCE AND SHOWCASE – HUGE SUCCESS!
Wednesday February 1st, 2006

On January 27 and 28 National Paintball Supply hosted their premier "Tech Conference and New Product Showcase" in Swedesboro, New Jersey with tremendous results. The 2 day event was designed to give NPS dealers a chance to learn about and become certified on a wide variety of products that NPS distributes. The classes covered several brand new items including; the ICD FS-8, the BT-4 Combat and BT-4 Assault, the Quest marker by First Endeavor Paintball, the Diablo Wrath LTD, and the 2006 Bob Long markers. It also covered some already established products like the ICD Promaster and Odyssey HALO. Cheryl Amaya from NPS said, "After talking to a lot of customers and vendors that wanted tech classes, we finally came up with a format that could serve multiple functions and put as many products as possible in front of people all in one shot." Representatives from Diablo Paintball, Indian Creek Designs, Bob Long Mfg., First Endeavor Paintball, Odyssey, and BT Paintball taught the classes and approved certifications on site.

Friday offered a full day of classes, a great buffet lunch with regionally mandatory "Philly Cheese Steaks", and an afternoon trip to the NPS Headquarters with a full tour of the facility. Later that evening, the hotel lobby was transformed into a casino setting where attendees ate, mingled, and played for tickets. The tickets were then turned into chances to win in a Chinese Auction where guns from each manufacturer were given away. Roulette, Blackjack, and Craps were all available and a few people even started a Texas Hold-Em tournament.

In addition to the tech conference and certifications, attendees were given the opportunity to get a first hand look at all of the 2006 Empire and Diablo line-up. Saturday morning was dedicated to a "NEW Product Showcase" open to all area paintball dealers. NPS brought in their entire sales team to help out and give their customers a chance to meet everyone face to face. Each of the conference presenters were given booth space where they could show off their goods and get one on one time with customers. Bob Long, LB Fow, Travis Lemanski, as well as Avery Amaya and Nick Walker from Diablo Storm were all on hand to sign autographs and answer questions about the products.

The event was slightly over-booked after selling out the 100 spots in just a few days. Although a large portion of the attendees were from the Northeast, there were also people from Arizona, Michigan, Ohio, and as far away as Germany, Latvia, Finland, and Portugal. Morgan from Unhallowed Paintball in Rhode Island told us that "the Tech conference was not only very helpful to me and my business, but it was a fun time!"

Another attendee, all the way from OPM in Germany said, "Thumbs up for the really great Tech Classes! I learned a lot and met a lot of interesting People."

Cheryl Amaya, one of the main organizers for the event said, "The event was actually experimental, but with the response we've had from the vendors and the customers, we're already planning several more over the coming months across the US and even into Europe". She also added, "We'd just like to pass on our sincerest gratitude to all of the customers who attended as well as to all of the NPS team and vendors for all of their creativity and hard work!'.
